Ann Gluckman, a New Zealand educator, writer and historian, died on March 13, 2026, aged 98.
Born Ann Jocelyn Klippel in London in 1927, she was appointed principal of Ngā Tapuwae College in 1975, becoming the first woman in New Zealand to head a state co-educational secondary school. She also researched the Auckland Jewish community and authored and edited the Identity and Involvement book series over three decades.
Ann Jocelyn Gluckman OBE JP (née Klippel; 13 August 1927 – 13 March 2026) was a New Zealand educator, writer and historian.
