Philip Low, an American chemist and the Ralph C.
Corley Distinguished Professor of Chemistry at Purdue University, died March 4, 2026, at age 78. A prolific researcher, he contributed to numerous drug discoveries and was credited as one of the developers of Pluvicto.
Low also cofounded the biotechnology company Endocyte, later acquired by Novartis, and the biopharmaceutical company Novosteo, later purchased by Cortexyme. He received the American Chemical Society’s George & Christine Sosnovsky Award for Cancer Research.
