Lucha Moreno, a Mexican singer and actress, died on April 15, 2026, at age 86.
Born Irma Gloria Ochoa Salinas in Guadalupe, Nuevo León, Mexico, on April 23, 1939, she debuted in film singing “La noche de mi mal” in Asesinos, S.A. (1957).
She later appeared in No soy monedita de oro (1959), El gato (1961), Las hijas del Amapolo (1962), and Aquí está tu enamorado (1963). With her husband, singer José Juan, she formed the duet Lucha Moreno y José Juan and recorded in the 1960s and 1970s.
