Lou Zocchi, an American gaming distributor and publisher, died on April 15, 2026, at age 91.

Born Louis Joseph Zocchi in Chicago on February 16, 1935, he was a gaming hobbyist, game distributor and publisher, and maker and seller of polyhedral game dice. He was elected to the Charles Roberts Awards Hall of Fame in 1986.

Zocchi was one of the first editors of Avalon Hill’s magazine, The General, and contributed to it during its first 11 years. He also playtested early wargames including Bismarck, Afrika Korps, Jutland and Stalingrad, and designed and published the Star Fleet Battle Manual in 1977.
