Adolfo Aristarain, the Argentine film director and screenwriter known for Martín (Hache), Time for Revenge and Common Ground, died on April 26, 2026, in Buenos Aires.
He was 82. Born in Buenos Aires on October 19, 1943, Aristarain worked as an assistant director in Argentina and in Europe before returning to Argentina in 1974.
After early films that were not well received, he had renewed success with Tiempo de revancha and later directed Un Lugar en el Mundo, La Ley de la frontera, Martín (hache), Lugares comunes and Roma.
