Juan Cruz Martínez, a Mexican politician and agricultural engineer who served as a deputy from 1997 to 2000, died on April 13, 2026, at the age of 73.
Born in Monclova, Coahuila, on September 1, 1952, he was elected in the 1997 mid-term election to a plurinominal seat in the Chamber of Deputies for the Labour Party, serving in the 57th Congress. During his political career, he was affiliated with the Labour Party, the Party of the Democratic Revolution and later National Regeneration Movement.
