Lee Wachtstetter, an American author, died on April 13, 2026, at the age of 97.
Known as “Mama Lee,” she was also a long-term cruise ship passenger who lived full time on the Crystal Serenity from 2008 after earlier cruising with her husband, Mason Wachtstetter. She had worked as a registered nurse, and in 2017 published “I May Be Homeless, But You Should See My Yacht,” a book about her life aboard the ship.
The couple took their first cruise in 1962 and went on 89 cruises together.
