Stephen Crotts

Stephen Crotts, an American Presbyterian minister and author, died on April 13, 2026, at the age of 75.

He served as a Presbyterian reverend for more than 50 years and wrote more than 20 books. Crotts also served as director of the Carolina Study Center, a campus ministry organization based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Born in Burlington, North Carolina, in 1950, he attended Furman University and Emory University. He served in congregations in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina and later lived in Hillsborough, North Carolina. He was married to Kathryn Cook and had three children.
