André de Muralt

André de Muralt, a Swiss philosopher, died on April 13, 2026, at the age of 94.

Born in Lausanne on September 1, 1931, to Elisabeth Feer and Hans de Muralt, he studied at the University of Paris and later taught medieval philosophy at the University of Geneva and the University of Lausanne. He was an expert on Edmund Husserl and produced a new translation of Aristotle’s Metaphysics, which won him the 2010 Prix Victor-Delbos from the Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques.

He died in Monnaz.
