
Robin Bridgeman, 3rd Viscount Bridgeman, a British businessman and politician and member of the House of Lords since 1983, died on April 9, 2026, aged 95.
Born Robin John Orlando Bridgeman on December 5, 1930, he was a hereditary peer and sat as a Conservative in the House of Lords. He was educated at Eton, served in the Rifle Brigade in 1950 and 1951, and later reached the rank of lieutenant in the Royal Green Jackets.
Bridgeman became a chartered accountant in 1958 and held directorships and partnerships in financial and business firms, including Fenn and Crosthwaite, Henderson Crosthwaite, Guinness Mahon and Nestor-BNA. He was also a director of The Bridgeman Art Library from 1972.
