Sammy Forcillo

Sammy Forcillo, a Canadian politician, died on April 9, 2026, at the age of 75.

A retired politician, he was a former mayor of Ville-Marie borough in Montreal, Quebec. Forcillo, who had Italian ancestry and held a degree from the École nationale d’administration publique, was a member of Jean Drapeau’s Civic Party.

He was elected to Montreal’s City Council in 1978 in Saint-Jacques, was re-elected in 1982, lost the seat in 1986 to RCM candidate Raymond Blain, and returned in November 1992 after winning a by-election following Blain’s death in office.
