Domingos Lucas Naftal, a Mozambican footballer, died on April 9, 2026, aged 84.
Born on April 23, 1941, Naftal played as a forward and began at youth level with FC Porto in 1962. He joined Porto’s first team in the Primeira Divisão in 1964 and scored against S.L.
Benfica in O Clássico during his debut season. After two seasons with Porto, he signed with Vitória Guimarães and later played for Futebol Clube Tirsense, Sporting Clube da Covilhã, A.C. Marinhense, Vilanovense Futebol Clube and Aliados Lordelo F.C. In 1975, he played abroad with the Ottawa Tigers in the National Soccer League.
