Michele Massimo Tarantini, an Italian film director known for Confessions of a Lady Cop, A Man Called Magnum and Taxi Girl, died on April 3, 2026, at the age of 83.
Born in Corato, Bari, Italy, on August 7, 1942, he began his career with Dania Cinematografica, where he worked in several roles before moving into directing. He made his directorial debut in 1973 with the giallo-crime film Seven Hours of Violence.
His first commercial success came with the 1975 comedy La liceale, and he later became associated with the commedia sexy all’italiana genre.
