Augustine Nshimye, a Ugandan judge and justice of the Supreme Court of Uganda, died on April 3, 2026.
He served as a member of the Supreme Court from 2015, after being appointed to the court in September 2015. Nshimye’s career began in 1967 as a senior clerk.
He later served as deputy chief registrar from 1986 to 1988, entered private practice in 1988, and was appointed a Justice of the Court of Appeal, which also served as the Constitutional Court, in 2008. In 2010, he temporarily served as an acting Justice of the Supreme Court.
Augustine Nshimye (died 3 April 2026) was a Ugandan judge and politician who served as a member of the Supreme Court of Uganda from 2015.
