Terry Schreiber, an American theater director, died on April 3, 2026, of a heart attack at the age of 89.
Born in Winona, Minnesota, on March 7, 1937, he directed theater principally in New York from 1976, including productions at the Longacre Theatre, the Circle Repertory Theatre, the Brooks Atkinson Theatre and the Roundabout Theatre, as well as in Japan, regional repertory theater and at the Terry Schreiber Studio. He was also an acting teacher and founded the T.
Schreiber Studio in New York, where he continued teaching until 2022.
