Butch Wilson, an American football player who played for the Baltimore Colts and New York Giants, died on April 3, 2026, of cancer.

He was 84. Wilson, whose full name was George Marvin Wilson, was a tight end for seven seasons in the National Football League.

He played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide, where he led the team in receptions in 1960 and shared the team lead in interceptions for three straight seasons from 1960 to 1962. He won a national championship with Alabama in 1961.
