Harald Ofner, an Austrian lawyer and politician, died on April 8, 2026.
He was 93. Born in Vienna on October 25, 1932, he studied law and received a doctorate in 1958.
By 1965, he was a lawyer. Ofner began his political career in the town council of Mödling and later served as provincial team leader of the FPÖ Lower Austria branch from 1976 to 1986. He was a deputy to the National Council from 1979 to 1983 and again from 1986 to 2002, and served as Austrian minister of justice from 1983 to 1987.
