Utsav Charan Das, an Indian dancer, lyricist, music composer and playwright, died on February 26, 2026.

He was born in 1945 or 1946 in Mania village, then in Orissa Province, British India, and died in Choudwar, Cuttack district, Odisha, India, at the age of 80. Das was awarded the Padma Shri in 2020 for his contribution to the arts.

He was a matriculate and worked as a stenographer in the state government. In 1960, he performed Ghoda Nacha for the first time with his father. He also wrote lyrical plays and songs on health issues and social initiatives.

Utsav Charan Das (1945 or 1946 – 26 February 2026) was an Indian dancer. He was also a lyricist, music composer and playwright. In 2020, he was awarded Padma Shri by the Indian government for his contribution in Arts.
