
Stefanos Linaios, Greek actor and politician who served as an MP from 1989 to 1990, died on April 18, 2026, at the age of 97.
He was known for his work in film, theater, radio, and television, including Dead Man’s Treasure. Linaios was a member of PASOK and represented the 1st Athens constituency in Parliament from 1989 to 1990.
Over the course of his career, he also worked as a writer, director, comedian, and theatrical businessman, and he founded the Contemporary Greek Theatre troupe at the Alpha Theatre in Athens.
