Karel Korytář, a Czech politician and engineer, died on April 18, 2026, at the age of 76.
A member of the Czech Social Democratic Party, he served in the Senate from 1996 to 2002 and again from 2008 to 2014, and in the Chamber of Deputies from 2006 to 2008. Born on 9 October 1949 in Halenkov, Czechoslovakia, Korytář held elected office in both chambers of the Czech Parliament over a career spanning nearly two decades.
