
Edoardo Lualdi Gabardi, an Italian driver, died on April 18, 2026, at the age of 94.
Born in Busto Arsizio on May 13, 1931, he was an Italian auto racer specialized in hillclimbing and also worked as a textile entrepreneur. He began his career in 1950, competing in the Mille Miglia with a Fiat 500 C and later winning the Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti with the same car.
In 1951, he entered major national hill climbs in a Dagrada Sport and recorded four victories. He went on to race Ferraris he bought himself, selling each car before purchasing another.
