Rainelle Krause, an American soprano and opera singer, died on March 16, 2026, at age 38 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Born in Tampa, Florida, on December 14, 1987, she grew up in Bloomington, Indiana and earned both a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in vocal performance from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University in Bloomington. Known for combining coloratura soprano singing with aerial silks performance, she appeared in opera houses including English National Opera, Berlin State Opera, Dutch National Opera, Royal Danish Theatre and Theater Basel.

Her signature piece was the Queen of the Night aria from Mozart’s The Magic Flute.
