
Aleksandra Kurczab-Pomianowska, a Polish actress and translator, died on March 16, 2026.
Born in Lviv on May 7, 1940, she was the daughter of writer Jan Kurczab and Janina née Liebling. She worked as an actress from 1957 to 1960, mainly at the Municipal Rhapsodic Theatre in Krakow.
In 1968, she immigrated to Italy, where she graduated in directing from the Accademia Nazionale D’Arte Drammatica Silvio D’Amico in Rome and later served as an assistant to Kazimierz Dejmek at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan.
