Eugene Milton “Buddy” Childers, an American politician who served in the Georgia House of Representatives, died on March 16, 2026, at the age of 87.
Born in Rome, Georgia, on October 17, 1938, Childers served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and graduated from Model High School in Rome. He later owned a telecommunications company.
A Democrat, he represented Georgia’s 15th district in the state House from 1974 to 2004.
