Kavuri Samba Siva Rao, an Indian politician, engineer and industrialist from Andhra Pradesh, died on March 11, 2026, in Hyderabad, India, at the age of 82.
Born in Eluru, then in Madras Province, British India, on October 1, 1943, he served as India’s Minister of Textiles with cabinet rank in the UPA government from June 17, 2013. He later resigned as minister and from the Congress Working Committee in 2014, opposing the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
