Karina Duprez, a Mexican actress and television director, died on April 22, 2026, at the age of 79.
Born Karina Julia Descalzó Guzmán in Mexico City on December 23, 1946, she worked as an actress from the 1960s to 1990 and as a director from 1989 to 2026. Duprez was the daughter of actress Magda Guzmán and Julián Duprez.
She was the mother of actress Magda Karina and married actor Carlos Ancira in 1979; the marriage lasted until his death in 1987.
