
Dick Parry, the English saxophonist known for his work with Pink Floyd, died on May 22, 2026, at the age of 83.
Born Richard Parry in Kentford, Suffolk, on December 22, 1942, he began his career in the mid-1960s with The Soul Committee in Cambridge. He later worked as a session musician on a range of recordings, including Pink Floyd’s “Money,” “Us and Them,” “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” and “Wearing the Inside Out.” He also played on Bloodstone’s Riddle of the Sphinx and Banco de Gaia’s Big Men Cry.
