Wayne Moss, an American session guitarist and songwriter, died on April 20, 2026, at the age of 88.

Born on February 9, 1938, in Charleston, West Virginia, he was best known for his session work in Nashville. Moss moved to Nashville in 1959, founded Cinderella Sound recording studio in 1961, and was one of the founders of the bands Area Code 615 and Barefoot Jerry.

He played on recordings by artists including Patsy Cline, Waylon Jennings, Loretta Lynn, Charley Pride, Joan Baez, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan and Dolly Parton.
