Born on 10 August 1946, she was an Honored Doctor of Ukraine and served as chief physician of Novopetrivtsi District Hospital in Vyshhorod Raion, Kyiv Oblast. Yeshchenko studied at the Nizhyn medical school in Chernihiv Oblast from 1961 to 1964.
She later worked as a nurse at Kulykivka District Hospital, in the surgical department of Sumy City Hospital, and from 1967 at the 2nd therapeutic department of Kyiv Clinical Hospital No. 22.
