Gabriele Vianello, an Italian professional basketball player, died on March 3, 2026, at age 87.
Born in Mestre on May 6, 1938, he played for Olimpia Milano and was inducted into the Italian Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011. Vianello was also a member of the FIBA European Selection in 1964 and represented Italy at the 1960, 1964 and 1968 Summer Olympics, where the team finished fourth, fifth and eighth, respectively.
