Clive Byers, a British bird watcher and professional bird artist, died on March 3, 2026.
He was also described as an early “twitcher.” His illustrations appeared in well-known bird identification guides, including Birds of the Western Palearctic and the Buntings and Sparrows volume of the Helm Identification Guides series, as well as other publications. Byers was also the author of a series of photographic guides.
