Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth, a Thai billionaire businessman and former surgeon, died on April 21, 2026, at the age of 93.
He was the founder and owner of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services, Thailand’s largest private healthcare group, and owner of Bangkok Airways. Born in Bangkok in 1933, he earned a medical degree from Mahidol University’s Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital and later qualified as a medical doctor.
Forbes estimated his net worth at US$3.5 billion in August 2018. He was married and had five children.
