
Patrick Campbell-Lyons, an Irish musician and composer, died on April 13, 2026, at the age of 82.
A native of Lismore, County Waterford, he was a member of the West London music scene from the early 1960s, playing in several bands. He was the vocalist and a founding member of the R&B band Second Thoughts, whose lineups included Chris Thomas, Speedy Keen, Jon Field and Tony Duhig.
In 1967, he formed the symphonic-rock band Nirvana with Greek musician Alex Spyropoulos. The duo recorded a series of critically acclaimed baroque, orchestrated albums before disbanding in the early 1970s.
