Born Alberto Pedro Cabrera in Buenos Aires on November 24, 1933, he began his entertainment career on radio with sketches and impersonations before moving into television and film. He became best known as one half of the comedy duo Dúo de Dos with Mario Sánchez, a partnership that carried through the 1960s and 1970s and included appearances on programs such as Sábados circulares and El paquete del Dúo.
Cabrera was also active on Peruvian television and spent his final years in Spain.
