Luis Brandoni, the Argentine actor and politician who served as a deputy from 1997 to 2001, died on April 20, 2026, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, of complications from a fall.
He was 86. Born Adalberto Luis Brandoni in Dock Sud on April 18, 1940, he began his stage career in 1962, appeared on television the following year and in film in 1966.
He also joined the National Comedy Theater in 1964 under the direction of Luisa Vehil and was politically active in the centrist Radical Civic Union, later serving as a cultural policy adviser to President Raúl Alfonsín.
