
Liane Engeman, a Dutch racing driver, died on February 12, 2026, at the age of 81.
Born in Haarlem on March 24, 1944, she worked for her father’s taxi company in Zandvoort and was driving by age 15. She was introduced to racing when rally driver Rob Slotemaker offered her a lift while she was waiting at a bus stop.
Engeman began racing professionally in Formula Vee in the Netherlands in 1965 and later competed in the 1969 British Saloon Car Championship for D.J. Bond Racing, driving a Ford Anglia.
Liane Engeman (24 March 1944 – 12 February 2026) was a Dutch racing car driver born in Haarlem, Netherlands.
