
Alfred Chen, a Taiwanese business executive and politician, died on February 12, 2026, at the age of 88.
Also known as Chen Fei-lung, he was born on October 2, 1937, in Hong Kong and was raised in Shanghai until he completed sixth grade. He graduated from Tamkang University with a bachelor’s degree in foreign languages and later earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of San Francisco.
Chen became board director of Namchow Group after the death of its founder, Chen Rong-gong, in 1974.
