Jürgen Raps, a German pilot and aviation manager, died on December 5, 2025.

He served as chief operating officer (operations) at Lufthansa Passenger Airlines (Lufthansa Passage), and was described in obituaries as a member of the Lufthansa Passage executive board, the accountable manager (AOC) and chief pilot. Raps was also an honorary professor at Hochschule Bremen in the fields of aviation and management.

Born in Bayreuth on August 11, 1951, he began training at the Deutsche Lufthansa commercial pilot school in Bremen in 1970, obtained his pilot licence in 1972, and later served as a first officer on the Boeing 737 and the McDonnell Douglas DC-10 before becoming a Boeing 737 captain in 1984.
