Born in Nogales, Sonora, on May 9, 1942, he played and managed in the Mexican League during a career that spanned from 1961 to 1980 as a player and from 1976 to 1994 as a manager. He made his Mexican League debut with the Tigres de México in 1963 and later joined the Saraperos de Saltillo in 1971, where he remained until his retirement in 1980.

Luque served as player-manager from 1976 to 1980 and as manager in 1981, and he was elected to the Mexican Professional Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999.

Gregorio Luque Flores (9 May 1942 – 26 February 2026) was a Mexican professional baseball catcher and manager. Luque played and managed in the Mexican League. Elected to the Mexican Professional Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999, he played professionally from 1961 to 1980 and managed from 1976 to 1994.
