Born in Monterrey, she performed in Monterrey and Oaxaca for years before a staff member at Televisa’s Oaxaca affiliate brought her work to producer Enrique Segoviano. Segoviano cast her in a 1982 episode of Odisea Burbujas, an opportunity that brought her to Mexico City and began her television career with Televisa.
She spent her entire television career with the network, building a professional association that lasted throughout her work on television. Delgado became best known as one of the two female regulars on Anabel, alongside Anabel Ferreira. The two women were the only cast members to stay with the program throughout its run, even as its male performers changed. Mario Bezares and Eugenio Derbez were among the men in the cast when the series premiered. By 1993, Carlos Ignacio and Luis Arcaraz IV had taken the places of Bezares and Derbez. The show brought together her comedic performance and television work, following years of performing in Monterrey and Oaxaca before her move to the capital.
