Dean Buntrock, an American waste service executive and co-founder of Waste Management, Inc., died on April 21, 2026.
He was 94. Buntrock was best known for founding and leading Waste Management, Inc., North America’s largest waste services company.
He was also known for his role in a lawsuit in which he and others were charged by the SEC with overstating profits by $1.7 billion.
