Têtêvi Godwin Tété-Adjalogo, a Togolese historian and politician, died on February 23, 2026, at the age of 98.
He was a member of the Democratic Convention of African Peoples (CDPA) and a founding member of the party. Born on January 16, 1928, in Ahouangor, French Dahomey, French West Africa, he studied at the École Spéciale des Travaux Publics and the University of Paris before working for the World Bank in Washington, D.C., for 20 years.
He also served on the Sovereign National Conference during the 1990–1991 Togo protests and published works on the political history of Togo and on German and French colonization.
