Sondra Lee, an American actress, dancer and teacher known for her Broadway work, died on February 23, 2026.
Born Sondra Lee Gash in Newark, New Jersey, on September 30, 1928, she performed on Broadway and was known for appearing in the original productions of Peter Pan in 1954 and Hello, Dolly! in 1964.
She also taught acting courses at New York University and at the Stella Adler Conservatory. Lee’s career extended from 1945 to 2025.
