Monti Rock III, the American singer known for “Get Dancin’,” died on February 23, 2026, at age 86.
Born Joseph Moses Montanez Jr. on May 29, 1939, in New York City, he was also known professionally as Sir Monti Rock III.
He worked as a hairdresser, musician and performer, and his hairdressing work in the 1960s helped bring him to television, including appearances on The Merv Griffin Show and as a regular guest on The Tonight Show.
