Marcel Labine, a Canadian poet, died on May 4, 2026, at the age of 78.
He was born on Feb. 25, 1948, and was active in Quebec.
Labine graduated from the Université de Montréal and taught literature at Maisonneuve College in Montreal from 1971 to 2004. He also contributed to several periodicals, including Spiral, Red Herbs, Moebius and New Bar.
