Harvey Pratt, an American forensic and Native American artist, died on December 31, 2025, at age 84.
Pratt, also known as Harvey Phillip Pratt, worked for more than 40 years in law enforcement and pioneered the soft tissue postmortem drawing method used to reconstruct unidentified subjects. His drawings aided law enforcement agencies in the United States and abroad.
Born in El Reno, Oklahoma, in 1941, he began his career with the Midwest City Police Department and later served with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, while also exhibiting his traditional artwork in various institutions.
