Bobby Gosh American musician and singer-songwriter dead at age 89

Bobby Gosh, an American musician and singer-songwriter known for writing “A Little Bit More,” died on December 31, 2025, at age 89.

Born Robert Gosch on May 31, 1936, in Stouchsburg, Pennsylvania, he grew up in Reading and studied classical piano from age 6. He toured as Kitty Callen’s pianist at 16, later attended Albright College, and went on to study orchestration at Juilliard.

In New York, he performed in clubs, worked with Sammy Cahn, and toured with Paul Anka as pianist, orchestra conductor and co-writer. “A Little Bit More” became a hit for Dr. Hook in 1976.

Bobby Gosh (May 31, 1936 – December 31, 2025) was an American musician and singer/songwriter from Vermont known for writing the song “A Little Bit More” which became a hit single when recorded by Dr. Hook in 1976.
