Born in Athens on December 14, 1968, he was the son of the well-known laïkó singer Stamatis Kokotas. Greek media said he had suffered a myocardial infarction during a rehearsal for a television program in March 2024 and was treated at Athens’ Gennimatas General Hospital, where he remained in a stable condition until his death.
