Gustavo Sánchez Vásquez, a Mexican politician and lawyer, died on January 31, 2026.
He was a member of the National Action Party (PAN) and served as municipal president of Mexicali, Baja California, from 2016 to 2019. At the time of his death, he was a senator for Baja California.
Born in Mexicali on September 17, 1963, he earned a law degree from the Autonomous University of Baja California in 1984, later taught there, and founded a private law firm in 1987.
