Gerardo Taracena, a Mexican actor and dancer, died on January 31, 2026, at age 55.
Born in Mexico City on March 27, 1970, he worked in film, television and theater from 1994 to 2026. He was known for roles in Apocalypto, Man on Fire, The Violin and Sin nombre, and for the Netflix series Narcos: Mexico, in which he portrayed Pablo Acosta.
Taracena also studied dramatic arts at the University Center of Theater of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
